Palamides has unveiled its new delta-pro range of fully automatic, stack-forming delivery systems, with a pledge to bring a new level of user-friendliness, shorter set-up times and lower energy usage to its customers.

Supplied in the UK by Friedheim International, the delta-pro helps to streamline the production process. The new device is available in three models: the delta502pro, delta703pro and delta705pro.

The latest version of the delta automatic delivery system is based on feedback from palamides customers, with a focus on helping users to address key trends in both the current and future print markets.

In terms of the type of print jobs the delta-pro models can take on, these include flyers, brochures, signatures and mailings.

Each model has a minimum infeed height of 400 mm and a maximum height of 1,050 mm, with the ability to handle material up to A3 format. In addition, all of the devices in the delta-pro range have a minimum stacking height of 10 mm (with small package option: 2 mm) and a maximum height of 150 mm.

Shorter set-up times and improved operability can be achieved with innovations such as quick-release fasteners on the jogging paddles, which make it possible to change over the number of UPs in just a few seconds.

Automatic shaft adjustment supports setup for new formats and also shortens the time required, while simplified opening of the press unit allows for easier accessibility and cleaning.

Other features on all the models of the new delta-pro include a colour touch screen display, ensuring better visibility and more convenient operation. The round belts are also colour-coded to help facilitate orientation during adjustment and setup.

A further benefit to users is the environmental impact of the new machines, as by using any of the delta-pro models, users can expect to save 20% of energy when compared to running an earlier delta product.

In addition, each model will run completely new software, specifically developed for the delta-pro. The software offers better user guidance and is more open for new interfaces, further assisting the user in production. Such as barcode scanners or signals from ink jet lines and digital printing machines.

All delta-pro products are compatible with collating machines, digital print machines, mailing systems, saddler stitchers, mailers, thread stitching machines, folding machines and either combined plowfold or pocket folding machines.
