Flexible, High-Speed Short-Run Book Production
Supporting production speeds up to 130 m/min (430 ft/min), Tecnau Libra One delivers unmatched flexibility and efficiency for personalized, short-run books and single-copy book production. It can run inline or nearline with digital printers, processing rolls up to 19.7” wide and generating both 12-page and 18-page signatures.
Each book block can be assembled from a variable number of signatures, with dynamic thickness and size adjustments. Pre-glued, offset-stacked book blocks simplify handling and transportation to the next finishing stage.
Intelligent, Automated Book Block Creation
With patent-pending processing technology, Libra One features on-the-fly cross and vertical perforation adjustments, dynamic cutting and folding, and fully automated imposition changes between 2-up and 3-up printing—all at full production speed.
Unique to Tecnau Libra One, waste is minimized by automatically resizing the final signatures. Depending on the total page count, last signatures are shortened to 8-page (2-up) or 12-page (3-up) formats, significantly reducing blank pages at the end of each book.
Seamless System Control & Accuracy
The entire Tecnau Libra process is driven by a 2D Datamatrix code printed on every signature, ensuring product integrity and precise automation. A user-friendly touchscreen interface controls the full system, manages setup for each module, and provides real-time error and alarm notifications.
