Friedheim joins the Printing Charity…

One of Friedheim’s inherent characteristics is loyalty. We are loyal to our customers, to our manufacturers, and to our staff. 25% of our staff have worked with Friedheim for over twenty years, with another 50% a decade into their tenure. Newer members of staff joining with Friedheim’s new growth quickly discover this is no coincidence.

A primary facet of a career at Friedheim is the stability of the company, where employees can look forward to years of career development and enjoy the success it brings. Our partnership with The Printing Charity, where the charity’s free, confidential employee helpline is now available to everyone working in our organisation, is an opportunity for Friedheim to give back to its employees, both the tenured and the new, so that this can remain the case for the future.

The Printing Charity is one of the oldest occupational charities in the country and inherits quite the prestige – patrons being both literal Royalty – King George, Queen Victoria, & King Charles (as Prince of Wales) et al and literary royalty – Charles Dickens Esq. The Printing Charity is helping us invigorate existing staff and inspire new employees and the Rising Star initiative will be increasingly relevant as we recruit into new roles.

We are proud of our work as a company and that which we can export to the wider industry.

Charity however begins at home, and that is indeed what Friedheim has created for its family. Below are some of the responses to this initiative:

‘Great Idea! We don’t have a dedicated HR department and this kind of support, anonymous advice etc. is important’ – Kate, 24 years of service

‘It’s a lifeline’ – Karlien, 9 years of service

‘Proud to be working for organization that puts employees well-being first. Fantastic great resource for all our employees’ – Justyna,  1 year of service

‘It shows the caring side of Friedheim. It’s good to know we have somewhere impartial to go in times of stress or need. Life now is a roller coaster of what is next round the corner – to have this lifeline is very important, who knows how or when you may feel the need to contact them. Thank you, Friedheim and The Printing Charity.’ – Dave Wilson, 45 year Friedheim veteran

‘Everyone at some point in their life needs support in some way shape or form. This partnership with The Printing Charity will, I hope, be there to support you and your families should you ever need it.’ Darren Crane, Sales Director – 2 years

Now, through the printing charity helpline, Friedheim employees are free of the ‘what if’ – the uncertainty that we’ve been so heavily reminded over the last 3 years. Things like retirement, starting a family, or any of life’s dramas, now come with a little less anxiety, worry and stress.
