A number of leading German and Swiss finishing manufacturers have joined forces to form The Postpress Alliance, previously poised to debut at Drupa 2020, is a new group focused on delivering innovative new solutions to the market
BaumanPerfecta Wohlenberg, Bograma, Herzog+Heymann, & MBO – all of which are represented in the UK by Friedheim International – will now work together to develop new technologies, operating under the banner ‘We Connect’.
The Postpress Alliance comprises a wide range of production processes of postpress, starting from data transfer from the MIS, through to cutting, folding, die-cutting, perfect binding, saddle stitching and the converting of mailing and outsert systems.
The MBO Group will focus on its CoBo-Stack, a new stacking robot that although launched last year has already received considerable developments and improvements -fitting with the groups lead on robotics, automation and industry 4.0.
MBO subsidiary Herzog+Heymann will present news about developments in mailings and pharma. Bograma has introduced its new automated card production system, combining four processes in one: inline die-cutting, collating, stacking and cellophane wrapping.
Meanwhile, Baumann Wohlenberg absorb Perfecta into its new brand BaumannPerfecta Wohlenberg, already launching versions of its ventures into automation and industry 4.0 with its new Automatic Pile Turning tech and new BASA Evolution.
A uniting principal of the alliance is futureproofing its customers investments and increasing universality of its connections and languages, making Post Press Alliance machinery the most flexible and productive on the modern market.
The group said in a statement:
