Friedheim International has announced that its first customers have signed up to its new Careplans, a range of monthly service subscriptions designed to make engineering support and breakdown cover more predictable, accessible and cost-effective.
Developed with feedback from Friedheim’s customers – the subscription model allows customers to select a plan that suits and pay a fixed monthly fee, helping to spread the cost of service and breakdown support rather than facing unexpected spikes in expenditure when engineering support is required.
“We wanted to create a more straightforward way for customers to budget for support while giving them the confidence to call on our engineers when they need them. The CarePlans are designed around that principle – honest, fair-value support that works for both the customer and Friedheim.” said John Stephens – Service Manager at Friedheim International
There are five set options that include tele support as standard, varying levels of parts discounts, service visits and breakdown callouts, health checks and reporting, as well as a ‘reduced excess’ for callouts beyond their plans’ provision. They’re purposely scalable to suit small medium, or large businesses.
Customers can call on Friedheim for support when required, with the level of included service determined by their chosen plan. Where additional support is required outside the scope of a plan, customers can pay a reduced excess cost or upgrade their level of cover.
So far, the subscription plans have attracted customers from commercial and trade print, as well as packaging fulfilment and medical device manufacturing – we hope this means the new options are attractive to a broad spectrum of our customers.
Alongside the Careplans, Friedheim has also introduced Friedheim Coins, a new service credit/token designed to provide customers with a flexible way to plan for future engineering requirements. Each Coin represents one day of engineer time – equivalent to up to 10 hours – and can be purchased in advance at a rate heavily discounted from the rate card.
Valid for up to 24 months, Coins can be used for future service and breakdown visits, providing protection against future rate-card increases during their validity period. They can also be used as an add-on to extend service cover at the end of a Careplan or other service contract.
“Careplans and Friedheim Coins give customers two new ways to take proactive steps toward managing machinery maintenance,” adds John. “The subscription model provides ongoing cover and predictable monthly costs, while Coins give customers the flexibility to pre-purchase engineering time to supplement a CarePlan or keep in their pocket for when it’s needed.”
The move to balance the customer base onto a more proactive and planned approach to maintenance and repair help Friedheim manage and allocate resources. This results in faster response times, higher standard PPM, and overall better service outcomes.
The new service products sit next to Friedheim’s ongoing traditional contract-based options and the wider commitment to supporting customers throughout the working life of their machinery, combining engineering expertise, service, spares and technical support to help keep production running – all supporting Friedheim’s growing portfolio of production equipment.
