The SL-5000 Casepacker was newly developed by Heripack. Thanks to its fully automatic format changeover, format changes can be completed in a very short time. The machine is characterized by its flexibility: it can handle a wide range of formats; even very large cartons made of extremely soft material can be reliably filled and sealed.
Casepacker with sideloading
Case packers create a finished package from a pre-glued cardboard tube, ideal for transport packaging. The products or primary packaging are grouped and inserted sideways into the open bottom or lid flaps. The open flaps are then folded in and the package is sealed with hot melt or adhesive tape.
Casepacker with toploading
In the top-loading process, the pre-glued cores are unfolded and positioned upright for filling, with the bottom flaps already sealed (using tape or hot melt glue). The product (the primary packaging) is inserted into the carton from above – either by gravity via drop or by targeted insertion using a pick-and-place method with suction cups or grippers. The carton's lid flaps are then folded over and sealed.
In special circumstances, it may be necessary to fill the box from below via the bottom flaps. This is also easily accomplished.
