NEW – DP8 module for dynamic punching and perforations
The DP8 punching and perforation module from the new POPP8 generation. Additional room provides for more dynamic processing functions. Tools for up to three cross perforations and up to eight longitudinal perforations as well as a device for punching forms or file hole punching. Customizable, independent processing of two web lanes in 2-up production. Simple and safe set-up of highly variable jobs using the refined punching and perforation editor. Automatic retrieval of the proper perforation and punching pattern through the system following successful selection of the order. Start with the basic configuration and later augment the DP8 with additional tools. A 22-inch version of this model for wider paper webs will be available in June 2015.
NEW – Newspaper production structured in sections
New production line for newspapers on demand in both a broadsheet and tabloid format. Production of broadsheet newspapers that contain variably collated sections. The paper web will be fed by the UW7 unwinding module.
NEW – POPP8 generation on Prosper technology.
High-speed operation at 300 meters per minute. Roll-to-roll production on the Kodak Prosper 1000. Book and magazine printing on a 30-inch paper web from the UW8 to the RW8 for the processing of books on demand and magazine lines at the Hunkeler booth. Books on demand with variable format sizes
The Hunkeler book block solution is distinguished by high flexibility, fast and easy changeover, and excellent book block quality. Books are produced on demand in variable format sizes, thanks to fully automatic longitudinal format changeover – with the use of a 2D bar code automatically on demand, changes the size of the book format.
The PF7 double plow folder processes paper webs up to 30 inches (760 mm) web width into 4-, 6- or 8-page signatures at a web speed of up to 200 meters per minute. Approximately 450 output cycles with multiple book blocks on top of each other can be produced per hour (e.g. 4500 books/hour in A5 format with 96 pages).
Security printing redefined with the HL6 laser module
The HL6 is the ideal solution for high-security punching and perforating applications, for example, checks, coupons and mailings, roll-fed from the UW6 unwinding module. Production capacity up to 150 m/minute in 1-up or 2-up mode. Fully dynamic, customized punch and perforation patterns possible by directly importing native CAD/CAM system data.
From a roll to the LS7 large-format sheet stacker with the PC7 primer-coater
The PC7 primer-coater is ready-to-sell, with new web guides and drive elements made of corrosion-resistant materials, simple roller removal without tools and an automatic cleaning process.
This flexible, efficient and user-friendly system is a perfect complement for roll-fed digital printing, and can be combined with various post-processing technologies for different applications.
Printing on offset paper with the Ricoh Pro VC6000
Full-color duplex printing on a paper web from roll-to-roll on the Ricoh Pro VC60000, using latest-generation Ricoh inkjet heads with a resolution of 1200 x 1200 dpi.
The SD7 double star wheel delivery unit will be stacking the signatures into book blocks for budget binding, or producing variable booklets with 8-, 12-, 16- or 20-pages producing a bookblock that has the capability not only to plow but to merge.. Production speeds up to 180 meters per minute!
Books and mailings on the Xerox/Impika eVolution
The Impika eVolution will produce full-colour book blocks and mailings. Combination line for roll-to-roll production from the UW6 unwinding module to the RW6 rewinding module at rates up to 250 meters per minute, or roll-to-sheet processing for production speeds up to 150 meters per minute.
Combination line for books and stitched booklets with Cannon Colorstream 3000Z
Production of books and booklets on the Colorstream 3000Z. New Dynacut function in the CS6-II cross-cutting module for automatic resetting of the trimming and stacking lengths. Selection of output of book blocks using the SE6 separation module and the LS6 stacker module, or production of stitched booklets on the IBIS SB-3 “Plus HS” smart binder. Dynamic gluing or stitching process of products with varying thicknesses with a capacity of up to 6000 units per hour.
HP T230 inkjet web press with a Hunkeler combination line
Double-sided full-colour printing on a paper web using the T230 web press from Hewlett-Packard. Selection of roll-to-roll production (UW6 – RW6) or from a roll to stacked sheets. Automatic variation of the trim length in the CS6-II cross-cutting module and in the LS6 stacker module using Hunkeler’s Dynacut dynamic trimming and stacking function –changes sizes on full automatic.
Combination line for books and job printing – NEW printer from Screen!
Full-colour production on the new Truepress Jet520HD from Screen with 1200 dpi resolution. Selection of roll-to-roll production from the UW6 to the RW6, or roll-to-sheet production with the CS6-II cross-cutting module, SE6 separation module and the LS6 stacking module. Roll to roll cut sheet books
Pharmaceutical applications on lightweight paper
Full-color production of pharmaceutical package inserts and outserts on the Xeikon 8000. The web is fed from the UW6 unwinding module, cross-cut on the CS6-I module, then folded on a GUK system.
Lightweight paper processing
Production of pharmaceutical package information leaflets from pre-printed rolls to a product folded in a miniature format. Processing of 40 g/m2 lightweight paper using the UW6 unwinding module and CS6 cross-cutting module with subsequent folding in a GUK folding system.
Roll-to-stack production with the Fuji Jet Press 540 W
Four-color job printing and book production on a Jet Press 540 W from roll to stack. Cross and longitudinal cutting in the CS6-I module and separation of the jobs or book blocks in the SE6 separation module.
Mailings with the Domino K600i
Domino K Series printing systems in a roll-to-roll configuration with the UW6 unwinding module and the RW6 winding module. Monochrome printing of variable data (2D codes, QR codes, numerals, images, etc.) in pre-produced, 4-color mailings or transaction printing at web speeds up to 150 meters per minute and 600 dpi resolution.
