We took almost 200 sqm at the show and filled the space with the latest in Post-Press and Converting equipment
Taking center stage, Friedheim international have declared IPEX 2017 a tremendous success. The first day saw the show launched MBO K80 being sold to Anglo Print in Ireland - who only came down for a coffee with Mitch ball, sales specialist and made a snap purchase - as well as Harcourt Print signing a deal for an MBO B26 buckle folder. We saw the Komfi Sagitta go to Swiss printer Spot-Tech Median and the Zechini Roby Junior with VAS going to PrintCraft with a Mephesoto turning up later from the factory as well as a Baumann pile turner to MPS Belfast. We also saw signings from Inprint for the amiga 52 with OTF for the foiling application and another from stock go to Words & Graphics in Leicester. These machines are all going directly to the customer’s factories from the show.
With over 7000 visitors coming from the UK and around the world IPEX 2017 was classed as success by many exhibitors
IPEX 2017 has been a show of deals, with quotes flying between head office and the stand. Mark Bristow, Manager Director says “We’ve been very pleased with the level of interest in all the equipment throughout the show. Although 2017 is a smaller show, IPEX has proved once again that it has the ability to attract the crowds and the right decision-making customers that makes attendance so attractive.”
IPEX 2017 may not have been what the industry is used to, with previous exhibitions spanning the entire complex, however the feedback Friedheim received from customers was that it gave them a chance to have in-depth conversations with the sales specialists and demonstrators on the stand, and a chance to get their teeth into the solutions and the advances in technology on display. Whereas before they would have been hard pressed to speak at length to any manufacturer about anything of note.
Mark goes on to state “On a personal level, we at Friedheim would like to thank the entire IPEX team for running a smooth and lively show, but also our fellow exhibitors from the UK Print industry. It was great seeing the commitment and the heart on display from the likes of Apex, Duplo, IFS, Morgana and Watkiss. I think we all pulled together before and throughout the show and gave a great accounting of ourselves throughout. With the numbers of orders and prospects coming out of IPEX, we hope that you all did as well out of the show as we did.”
