A packed machine hall at Baumann's Labels and Finishing Days Open House
On 27-29 of June German finishing equipment manufacturer Baumann-Wohlenberg and several ‘partner’ companies held two extraordinary parallel events – both aimed at showing the best manual and automatic solutions available in label production and traditional finishing processes. Being held at Baumann-Wohlenberg’s state of the art headquarters in Solms, visitors got the opportunity of seeing live demonstrations of some of the most productive and cost-efficient finishing solutions currently available.
Folding machine manufacturer MBO exhibited their new K80 folding machine for the first time at open house. The K80 fits perfectly into the new product range of MBO combi-folding machines for the 70 x 100 cm size range. It closes the gap between the manual K70 and the K8RS, the world's fastest folding machine.
Baumann themselves showed off a vast array of paper and label handling systems at the open house
Baumann-Wohlenberg themselves showed off their full range of materials handling systems and automatic jogging as well as specific lines for labels processing. Label specialist Blumer demonstrated the latest version of their Atlas 1110 LS label production line, which includes the newly developed and patented ‘Gripper-Edge 1 & 2’ features. Other machines that were on display included a Wohlenberg Quickbinder perfect binder, a Bograma rotary die-cutter, and a Hohner HSB 9000 saddle binder.
Customers from the UK and around the world joined our sales team to find out about future of finishing technologies
Alan Ryan, owner of Technoprint attended the open house on a number of days, exploring all that the manufacturer's had to offer and said” The Baumann Open house was a really good and inspiring exhibition. It was great to see all the up and coming technologies and meeting the actual manufacturers and seeing what they were getting up to and what they had in store with future technologies was really eye opening. Friedheim’s staff onsite where very helpful and the exhibition itself has a really good vibe of growth and positivity.”
Stuart Bamford, National Sales Manager, Post-Press Division says “Baumann have created a truly spectacular event with an all star cast of manufacturers. They’ve targeted the event for high volume label printers as well as commercial printers in need of more sophisticated automation.” He and his team of sales specialists are at the show with customers from the UK and to support the manufacturers we represent in the UK and Ireland.
