For both small and medium cutting jobs, as well as for more complex quantity production, Schneider Senator guillotines are a tried and tested solution. Computer control (PCC) is included as standard on most of its models, and the company has now enhanced the PCC’s capabilities with the introduction of two new options: PCC Connect and PCC Office.
New options for Schneider's PPC for more integration throughout the cutting process
Network integration with PCC Connect
This software tool makes the integration of Schneider Senator guillotines into a printers' workflow possible. Based on the ‘Job Definition Format’ (JDF) of CIP 4, PCC Connect automatically generates cutting programs from JDF files from the pre-press stage. No additional software installation on external devices in the network is necessary, as the standard Ethernet connection enables the required network link. The guillotine's USB interface also allows the exchange of JDF files.
The PCC Connect option is regarded as particularly useful for companies with multi-shift operations, as work preparation in terms of cutting programs can be written in advance on an external computer, thereby helping to keep downtimes to a minimum.
Program creation with PCC Office
With PCC Office cutting programs can be created and edited at external computers. The data exchange is done over the company’s network via Ethernet. The cutting program created on the PC can be processed in real time by the guillotine. In the event that there is no network available, programs are also transferable with a USB stick.
PCC Office requires a Windows Operating System, Windows XP or higher. The PC user interface is identical with the indications on the touch screen display of the guillotine. Data is entered with the PC keyboard. The intuitive touch icons of the PCC control are activated with the PC mouse.
PCC Connect and PCC Office are optionally available for all Schneider Senator 78 & 92 Advance and S-Line 115 H, 137 H and 155 H guillotines.
