The Xeikon Café Packaging Innovations is a platform offered by Xeikon and its Aura partners, presenting the opportunity to understand, evaluate and experience digital production, and enabling printers and converters to make business decisions. Through demonstrations, presentations, workshops and discussions, participants receive first-hand actionable information and advice on industry innovations and trends.

This year BOGRAMA returns with the BSR 550 basic rotary die-cutter. Short setup times, simple control guidance, economic and cost-effective productions achievable with the BSR 550 basic will be seen, with die-cutting from two magnetic cylinders using proven Bograma technology. Live demonstrations at the Xeikon Café will feature the BSR 550 basic die cut folding carton, but the machine’s die cut capabilities extends to other applications such as labels, flyers, leaflets, direct mail, greeting cards, presentation folders and more, from both offset and digitally printed material.

Offline, short run, short set-up times - the Bograma BSR-550 BASIC @ Xeicon Cafe

Says Stefan Büechi, Bograma Sales Manager “For BOGRAMA, the Xeikon Café structure is ideal in presenting digital printing capabilities in die-cutting, and learning about industry trends to expand into new markets. With our rotary die-cutter BSR 550 basic, we can show Xeikon Café visitors how various jobs can be die-cut with a simple change of tool, and the wealth of possibilities high-quality die cutting can bring to digital print applications.”

Getting print products into shape

The compact and attractively priced BOGRAMA BSR 550 basic rotary die-cutter is highly-suited for diecutting, kiss-cutting, creasing, perforating and embossing of various products such as packaging, labels, mailings, presentation folders and more.

With a capacity up to 8000 cycles/h and a maximum sheet size of 550 x 750 mm, the offline solution (no connection to folding machines, cross cutters or downstream machines) is designed specifically for printers looking to produce small and medium runs economically and efficiently. The integrated breakout and deliver system for the automatic separation of the inner cuts and simultaneously deflection of the section grids is adjustable without tools and ensures a proper display of the products.

Simple tool technology, short setup times and high-precision register accuracy of the BSR 550 basic stand for a cost-optimised production.
